City Council approves regressive parking policies from 1930’s

City of Guelph made the “free on street parking program” permenant in the downtown with the passing of the 2009 City Budget. The loss of almost $800,000.00 a year in small change revenue did not seem to deter councillors, nor did the subsidy to automobile users at the expense of sidewalk/bikelanes.
